What is Formful?
Formful builds multi-language forms with an AI assistant that can create, edit and translate forms by chat, alongside a drag-and-drop builder, warranty claims, product registration and B2B automation. It carries the Built for Shopify badge and shows a 4.6/5 rating on 95 reviews. It's developed by HerculesApps, based in Cologne, Germany, and launched in July 2023.
How does the app work on a Shopify store?
Merchants build multi-step forms with conditional logic using the drag-and-drop builder, or ask the AI assistant to build, edit and translate a form directly in chat. Submissions can sync to customer profiles with marketing consent (email, SMS, WhatsApp), create B2B companies, and fill metafields automatically. Every form is WCAG accessible and auto-styled to match the store's theme, with hCaptcha, reCAPTCHA or a built-in captcha for spam protection. It's currently English-only despite the multi-language form-translation feature.
Why choose Formful over another form builder?
The AI assistant that builds and translates forms conversationally is a more advanced approach than the template-based builders most competitors in this list rely on. Automatic WCAG accessibility and theme-matched styling out of the box is a differentiator worth confirming directly, since few competitors here make that claim explicitly. Reviews consistently praise the developer (Stefano) by name for extremely fast, hands-on fixes, including on a Sunday, though the review count (95) is more modest than category leaders like Hulk or Powerful Form, worth factoring into a decision for a merchant prioritizing long-term track record.
What are the 3 main features of the app?
- AI assistant for building, editing and translating forms by chat.
- Automatic WCAG accessibility and theme-matched styling.
- B2B automation: customer sync, marketing consent, metafield filling.
